Wrist Range of Motion
Wrist ROM Both
INSTRUCTIONS:
FRAME WIDE -- In Front of Patient Standing up or sitting down
Do each 3 times:
(1) Lift both hands, palms facing down;
(2) rotate palms up to the ceiling and return;
(2) point fingers DOWN to the floor;
(3) point your fingers UP to the ceiling showing palms;
(4) point your fingers SIDE -TO-SIDE;
(5) close fists and rotate hands in a CIRCLE moving in one direction and then the other.
Move as much as possible in each direction.
Left wrist EXTENSION/FLEXION
INSTRUCTIONS:
Starting with your fingers pointing straight forward, move your hand as far as possible pointing your fingers upward, then move your hand as far as possible pointing your fingers downward.
Left wrist PRONATION/SUPINATION
INSTRUCTIONS:
Starting with your fingers pointing straight forward, move your hand from left to right as far as possible in both directions.
Right wrist EXTENSION/FLEXION
INSTRUCTIONS:
Starting with your fingers pointing straight forward, move your hand as far as possible pointing your fingers upward, then move your hand as far as possible pointing your fingers downward.
Right wrist PRONATION/SUPINATION
INSTRUCTIONS:
Starting with your fingers pointing straight forward, move your hand from left to right as far as possible in both directions.
